Another post inspired me to post my song lyrics I wrote in the mid 80s.
Tropic isles and balmy seas, I close my eyes and feel the breeze. A leave I take from all my cares, so I clean breath the clean fresh air.
Sue thinks I'm an escapist, she doesn't know what she has missed. She came to see me yesterday but found that I had gone away,....gone away.
Check in, check out, you're on a round-about. Motion, that's all it really is. Look up, you're down, riding merry-go-rounds. Ocean, a drop is you and me.
As I climb the golden stair, I find myself up in the air, and if you ask me where I'm bound, I'll say it's further from the ground.
'Cause first you're young and then you're old, and in between a life unfolds, continue onward if you please, for I'm about to take a leave,....take a leave.
Check in, check out, you're on a round-about, Motion, that's all it really is. Look up, you're down, riding merry-go-rounds. Ocean, let's ride upon the waves.
Dee Dee used to cut my hair, while sitting in her barber's chair, she'd sing me a sweet lullaby and slowly I would close my eyes..close my eyes. Close your eyes, close your eyes, come alive. Close your eyes.......

It's funny, I felt like I've been checked out for the last 27 years. (months after I wrote this) Now, since the last year, I'm checking back in.
