Hi, John X. Grey here for the first time. That's only my pen name of course. I'm trying to spread out in promoting my work on the Internet and make social contacts after being a hermit-like gent most of my life. All my success with writing has happened just in the last 21-22 months after 12 years of working toward become the published professional fiction author.
Most of my published material has been exposure-only projects and around 90% of that was at one North Georgia small press called Static Movement. They have published a wide range of fiction theme anthologies since June 2010, and I'm certain that list has something for almost every fiction reading taste, so please check SM out sometime at their projects page (the book cover images make the page a little slow to load on my aging HP computer).

I have only one professional published story (token payment of 1/4 cent per word ) in an anthology at Pill Hill Press entitled "The Vampire Hunter's Requiem" in Leather, Denim & Silver: Legends of the Monster Hunter. Two more such stories will appear later this year (one paying 1/4 cent per word and the other a flat $5 fee) - "Knocking them dead" in The Trigger Reflex: Legends of the Monster Hunter II also at Pill Hill Press and "Last of the Hunted" in Wicked East Press' Once Bitten, Never Die anthology.
I recently ventured into the self-pubilshing field with a science-fiction novel entitled Worldjumpers: An amazing Journey to Parallel Worlds, but that is best mentioned on another part of this board. I intend also self-publishing the vampire hunter noir horror novel entitled A Legacy of Blood: Jack Petrov - Private Investigator/Vampire Hunter, also best mentioned elsewhere.
At any rate, I'm glad to have joined other writers here and intend returning again to read some posts, possibly make comments and post my own news. My website and blog with Weebly.com(http://theanticelebrityjohnxgrey.weebly.com/) and Amazon.com writer's page (http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B004E5AHE6) are the main sites for self-promotion I currently use, both listing the 45 anthologies containing my poems and stories and the 1 novel so far self-published by CreateSpace. The blog contains some rather controversial political and personal posts along with other musings about current American culture. The Weebly.com site's label "anti-celebrity" is partly a gimmick to stand out from the crowd and also showing disdain toward absurd modern celebrity culture permeating America and the world.
I've lived in Southern Ohio all my life and in the same house in a hometown I prefer to remain anonymous for the moment, I know it sounds pathetic. I've never been married (big shock) and have no children or pets. I'm holding out for the soulmate who's right for me even in an imperfect world, and I'll probably be waiting some time yet. Considering writing my calling in life after a 1997 salvation experience, I have more stories yet to tell if I can just get them all written down in the time left to me.
Until next time (borrowing one phrase from my favorite cult-hit TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000), I'll be back someday.
