veil
darkened veil that separates the breath from that which hasn’t ignites our fears bravado left behind
should a slightened breeze
blow aside your drape reveal secrets kept well hidden from we crippled mortals moving ever toward your hem
allow a glimpse
of that which waits and niggles at our lives tantalizes and mortifies and begs our speculate
a place of paradise
or home of searing flame are we once there and then returned to live a life again
beyond your dusty cloth
are you a sham that covers up a wall an ending place where all is gone beyond retrieve
what is that urging lays across my soul that offers grace beyond all fears
and soothes my living hopes
