Give us one of your favorite lines from a book you've read, or a favorite line you are proud of from something you've written.
You don't have to write out an explanation like I am about to, you can just quote the line with or without the title.
I've read most of Nelson Demille's books and like his sarcastic but efficient main characters. One of the following is a direct quote, the other is close.
“It occurred to me that the problem with doing nothing is not knowing when you are finished.”
In one setting he (main character) was making fun of country music on the car radio by inventing his own title to a song, "How can I miss you if you won't go away."

"Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night!"
This is from a movie, not a book. I've always loved it. ;D
