occupycorporatism.com/obamacare-hidden-panel-of-unelected-officials-beyond-congressional-contro/I recommend reading the entire article, and to do further research. "The IPAB’s plan would become law without Congressional approval, oversight, or even be subject to a presidential veto. Once this proposal is submitted, it is law." Is this what people really want in this country? Giving unelected panels of people more power than our elected officials? "The only governing body the IPAB will have to answer to is itself." That is like saying the banking industry will only answer to itself. WOW! This isn't just about obamacare, this precedent/process could involve any political party and any agenda.

I have given it a lot of thought... Our government is crap, run by the money and runs for the money. While I love America there are so many problems that 99% of the people refuse to face. Will I miss "home"? Sure. Do I think it will be best for me and my family? Absolutely. Not sure what makes me sadder the fact that I have to consider this as a option or the fact that I feel by moving I will be giving my family a better chance.

You're really considering leaving the US, BL? That's a big move. We all get frustrated about government, they're the pits. I really do dislike politicians. But no matter where we go it's politicians who will be ruling the roost. Remember too, that the other man's grass is always a nicer shade of green. Maybe you just need a break away for a while, then you'll be glad to return. So whatever you do, don't burn your bridges. I do believe that even with all its faults North America is still the best place to live, and offers the greatest amount of individual freedoms.

Hubby is from India, and we have considered moving there for keeps. Not only is his job market shrinking but the COL is a lot cheaper there as well. No I'd not give up my citizenship, but I really do think a few years overseas might be just the ticket. The education the kids get is better there, and the quality of life assuming you can afford health care is also better. Just something we have been batting around but I won't be doing anything until my son from my first marriage turns 18, since I can't move him out of country as his dad and I share custody. Only 4 more years... If things don't make some type of progress I'll start packing my bags!
