Bahahaha I grew up just outside Dtown. It's a real stink pot. Unless you have been there for more than a few days you can't really begin to understand just how bad it is. Even the crack heads would rather be else where!

I must say I do admire the Japanese, they're industrious and very bright. Hiroshima looks great! It's sad what's happened to some of the cities in the West. Edinburgh, where I grew up, at a time when it was virtually crime-free and so safe a child could wander around the streets after dark, is now known as the drug capital of Europe! That's what the movie Trainspotting was all about. www.imdb.com/title/tt0117951/

Many people don't know about it, BL. Sometimes I have a hard time believing it myself. But Edinburgh has also been called the AIDS capital of Europe, because the disease spread so rapidly via intravenous drug users. I mean, why Edinburgh? I recall it as sedate, quiet, rather dull, and very law-abiding. It was the very last place I would have expected something like that to happen. www.scotsman.com/news/city-on-the-brink-of-new-heroin-epidemic-1-1013158
