Starting this career back in 1999, and after a decade with my one accomplishment then being a single story placing eighth at the Science Fiction Writers of Earth short story contest for 2002, I haev been published or reprinted in 55 different anthologies from small presses (Aurora Wolf Press, Lame Goat Press/Shade City Press, Leucrota Press, Pill Hill Press, Static Movement and Wicked East Press), one story at the Tales of the Zombie War site back in September 2011 which can be read at the following page: www.talesofworldwarz.com/stories/2011/09/22/serving-his-country-for-the-third-time-by-john-x-grey/, and self-published two novels last year from among the eleven I've written over the years - Worldjumpers: An amazing Journey to Parallel Worlds www.amazon.com/Worldjumpers-amazing-Journey-Parallel-Worlds/dp/1463767579/ref=sr_1_8?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1314405165&sr=1-8, a science-fiction novel involving seven teenagers scouting out parallel Earths for their dying version mostly destroyed by WWIII, and A Legacy of Blood - Jack Petrov: Private Investigator/Vampire Hunter www.amazon.com/Legacy-Blood-Private-Investigator-Vampire/dp/146630815X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1324138943&sr=1-1, a tale of a 1920s hard luck private eye who discovers a 331-year-old vampire on his first case killing locals to bathe in and drink their blood.
For 2012, I have another 17 stories (one a reprinting) to be published at Static Movement or Wicked East Press.
So the last twenty-six months have been productive, but I still lack wider publicity and recognition as an author and need to work in those areas to gain additional professional story credits beyond the three earned last year. Any ideas on better self-promotion would be appreciated.
