What if I wrote and published a memoir that dealt with one part of my life, and then I started writing a different memoir that dealt with a completely different aspect of my life. I have reached an area where my two stories have intersected. I know this sounds kinda weird, but is it OK to take similar passages from one memoir and use them in another?

I don't see why not, Frogger. There's always a certain amount of repetition when it's a series. The readers of your first book might get a trifle miffed if there was too much, but kept to a minimum, I'd say it's just fine.

It's all down to the publisher. If they're okay with it, then no problem.

To heck with the publisher, if they give you grief self publish, that 's what I did, I got so tired of all the rules and hassles and crap and being treated like dirt.
