Maybe I'm a little slow, but it seemed Elmore Leonard rules had more exceptions than rules.
Margaret Atwood's advice is certainly the most scintillating.
Roddy Doyle's advice seemed rather cathartic
Helen Dunmore was the least technically oriented.
