I write, work, and drink beer tis all.
I'm sending a short story off. I don't need an editor, but I use a proof reader and he's very very good. If you feel you have work to sling his way, let me know? Also I have an extremely good editor if you want one? Both are costly, but that’s the point in my view, sacrifice to gain.
Here is me, a picture for your heads. I don’t really friggin care what you have been taught; it’s content I look for, the rest follows. I had a publisher, Sue Westoby who’s written about eight or so books and wanted three from me... Prose... NIG... short stories. I’ve recently had an ezine in Chicago approach me for my work, and gone in Spilling Ink and some others, though who gives a pheeeeuckkkkk? Anyway, I left Sue cos she’s friggin barmy and forgot that I sent my stuff to a larger publisher (for real). Meanwhile four months later they are asking to see more, but I replied... I haven’t got it, and they said... they want to wait.
Is that good enough for you all, other than the crap the different sites say? If not I don’t really care, because this is one mans veiw who continually writes and gets noticed. We all make good critiques, but we must be neutral and not read defensively. We are not publishers!!! So critique with integrity on here or piss off!
I suppose what I am trying to say is get your shit down and don’t worry about ethics, zoology or Grampian lettuce; just write and let me see what you've got. Do your best with the rest.
If you are just here to gloat, then good; your balls have dropped and you are addicted.
PS My work was accepted without an editor or proof reader, but there is no harm in making it more professional... they want money and you want to earn it!
Ends
My drunken stupor
