Computer got you down? Pencil sharpener missing? Ink well dry?
We can help (or at least try to).
Ask away and we'll do what we can.
Whether it be a complete meltdown of your entire computer world, or just a simple ID10T PEBKAC error...I'll be more than happy to hunt down and provide solutions to any technical issues you may be experiencing.
I'll be in and out all week so just leave a post and I'll get to it as quickly as I possibly can.
Thank you and enjoy your stay here Where Writers Meet.

What do you think about a whole computer in the monitor? They're certainly space savers, but I don't like the idea of being up so close to the heat etc. that comes off those things. I wonder if technically they might not be as good either?

raemorgan. Hmm... I can see it. Very hot indeed. I think if you can figure out a way to vent it, it could probably work. For now there are 'alternatives.' Like laptops. The Ipad. (God, as a learner techie even I hate them.) glorified Phones with an inbuilt computer. Pfft. And those little high tech slab things that artists used, now enjoyed by the public? Drat, forgot the name. Grr.

When I first switched from a PC to a Mac (about 7 years ago), I was still printing pages of my work and had all my bad habits from 20 years of PC (I started with an Osborne Transportable in 1982 ... weighed 55 lbs.). Naturally, I bought a MAC Tower. It took up a lot of desk space. My wife, who switched right after I did, bought an I-Mac, which had the computer in the monitor. Neither one of us has noticed any heat from it. It takes up a lot less space. Now, however, I use my five year old I-Book for all my writing. And, I seldom print any pages. I use my laptop to write jokes and then re- purpose the jokes into cartoons, joke panels, two-minute scripts and flash fiction -- most of which I do in coffee shops and not at home. I don't miss the desktop computer at all. If I ever got another desktop computer, though, it would be an I-Mac. yours, ... James Maxwell www.funnyflashfiction.com/blog
