Birthers Are Back. This Time It's New Hampshire by Jessica Pieklo November 22, 2011 11:38 am Birther queen Orly Taitz has moved her crusade against the president from California to New Hampshire. Taitz personally filed a complaint in New Hampshire over the weekend arguing to formally remove President Obama from the state's ballot. The New Hampshire electoral governing body, unanimously turned down the complaint in a public hearing. But birthers are nothing if not persistent. Despite the unanimous vote against removing President Obama from the ballot because of allegations he is not a U.S. citizens, the small group of birthers erupted, charging the the governing body with treason and corruption. Of those birthers present were several New Hampshire state representatives who had no problem offering up a new platform for Taitz. As we get closer to the elections, and as the fringe of the right grows more discontent, expect to see more of this kind of nonsense. Consider it one in a list of possible distractions designed to take away from the fact that despite a year of campaigning and a year in office the right has failed to pass a single piece of legislation that furthers their purported interests in job creation.
