I just checked on them and this is what I found. A good excuse to stay away.
Terms & Conditions. Each story you submit must meet all of the following criteria: Each story you submit must be in English, you must be the sole author of each story submitted, each story submitted must be your original work and not copied in whole or in part from any other work, and you must not assign or license to any other person any copyrights or other rights in such story. No story submitted may contain material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, pornographic, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights or any other rights of any person, firm, or entity, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable. Proper spelling and grammar is recommended. By submitting a story, each writer automatically acknowledges and agrees that such story is a “work for hire” as defined by the copyright laws of the United States. Passionup.com, Inc. shall be the sole and exclusive owner and copyright proprietor of all rights and title in and to such story. If for any reason such story is determined at any time not be a “work for hire,” by submitting such story, each writer thereby irrevocably transfers and assigns to Passionup.com, Inc., in perpetuity, all right, title, and interest in such story, throughout the world, including any and all copyrights, as well as any and all renewals and extensions thereto. By submitting a story, each writer agrees that Passionup.com may make any changes or additions to such story and may engage others to do any of the foregoing, with or without attribution to the writer. By submitting a story, each writer waives any so-called “moral rights” in such story. The foregoing requires no further consideration. Writer’s opportunity to submit writer’s story constitutes full consideration for the foregoing. Passionup.com can publish or decline to publish, or use or decline to use, any submitted storys in Passionup.com, Inc.’s sole discretion.
Isn't that generous of them, well, that's another publisher landing on the PUBLISHER SLUSH-PILE. Yes, fellow writers, we have a slush pile too.
