Has anyone noticed how difficult it is to sign out of Amazon these days? I searched around for the log-out, or sign out, but there isn't one any more. What you have to do is go to "Hello Lily (or whoever) Your Account" at the top right hand corner of the page, and the sign-out option is the last entry in the drop down menu. Phew!

That's confusing, and a little annoying. Mine usually asks me my password every I purchase something even if I'm already logged in. I'm glad it at least has that safety precaution set up.

It's intentional.
Amazon--as seemingly every other web-based business--tracks your browser history using cookies and web bugs.
These web marketing companies build an 'anonymous' profile from this information share it and other web marketing companies offer up optimized advertising, or sell your profile information to third-parties . . . like your nearest friendly government data-aggregation agency.
Install the Ghostery privacy plug-in and you will see how often Amazon tracks your access to third-party sites.
Even when you pay for something online, you're still the product.
