So are we seeing the fall of the Western Empire? Well, don't start "prepping" your fall-out shelter just yet. The real story of the movie "300" is that free men fight better than slaves. There is an overwhelming visceral desire to breathe fee. Granted, we have some issues. Fully half of the American citizens would happily don chains to "live like Europeans" and never face risks from cradle to grave. I don't understand that ideal. But around the globe there are certainly more than '300' who will not go quietly. Freedom and enumerated rights are like muscles--if you do not use them they atrophy. When some blow-hard asks me to do something stupid, I ask 'why.' If I get a Shumer/Feinstein answer I say, 'no.' Your freedoms under what we define as "western" are the same treasured and fragile ideals as underlined by Leonidas. When challenged by this defeatist attitude and asked to surrender yourself, your freedoms and the linchpins of your society, respond the same. Say proudly, "Molon Labe." |

Am I a student of history? In areas where I have interest. All wars end with even the winner being divested.
What war will bikers die on their feet for? If more people lived on their knees, the world would be a better place.
