I'd be leery of these online geeks too. You have to give them your credit card details and allow them remote access to your computer.

I work from home doing computer repairs remotely on customer's computers for a DSL company. They offer their Premium Support package for 14.99 a month for unlimited support, which comes with virus removal, PC tuneups, maintenance, modem/router support, and pretty much anything you can think of. It's actually a really good deal as long as you know the company you are working with it legit.

This is the way of the future. Even some local computer repair shops offer this service. I think it's great, providing that you know and trust the company.

I've been getting virtual repairs for a while, it sure beats lugging your puter down to a store.
