I have my own test.
You're really not a publisher unless you've published something. So far I see all boots and no cowboy.

That's the point, I don't see anything. Now you're typing in all caps--like a recalcitrant little boy typing on his mom's lap-top in her laundry room.
So are you an adult publisher with a credentials, and a body of work, or just a spammer? Perhaps a bored kid wasting everyone's time?
I had a hinkie feeling, and I PM'ed a member here who I trust. They voted "spammer."

I have no problem with discussing writing. In fact, several days ago Lily and I discussed ways to infuse new writing topics into the forum.
My issue is agendas. The proof is in the pudding. Pick a writing topic, discuss it like adults, you'll not hear a peep from me.
But attendance is not mandatory here or at any other forum. If you tell us that writing is important, then we should see it--or it's not really a writing forum, is it?

I agree. Take the lead. Post some writing. Oh, no, my dear Gaston, I must insist that you go first...

LOL...gentalmen first.... I wouldn't hear of it, Gaston, first I am no gentleman. LOL. But certainly you can think of twenty epithets for my minor comment on your nose.

Think what you must. Lily has a sample, the rest is being polished.
But I would surmise you'd be anxious for us to see your brilliance. Perhaps we could see but a few paragraphs, Gaston.

ahhh, that sounds like a child...
Stay with publishing. You won't make it in the world of men. Good night, Gaston. I thought you would be fun, now you're just, just, just, mundane.

I think the both of you have a lot to offer the forum, and I'll be the first to say it, because I excel at sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, but this is a forum for writers to meet, not a forum for writers to clash and insult each other. I'm not an administrator or anything, I'm actually one of the newest members here, but I think everyone who enjoys writing has decent advice to offer other writers, and honestly I feel you are both being childish with this little tit for tat argument.
Personally, I don't feel like this kind of thing should be public on the forum. If you have a real issue with each other, take it behind scenes and handle it in a mature, adult, professional way that doesn't include the entire forum. I have enjoyed posts and conversations from and with the both of you, but this is sort of ridiculous.
Again, my personal opinion, and again, I don't belong in this conversation, but as a fellow writer on this forum, I feel I should share what is going through my mind, and possibly a few others' minds as well.
I find, part of being a writer, is respecting other writers, their styles, their opinions and such. Personally, I feel like this conversation is very disrespectful to the forum, yourselves, and the other writers here.

Personally, I feel like this conversation is very disrespectful to the forum, yourselves, and the other writers here. My "adult job" was saving companies on the edge of bankruptcy. One of the things I stressed was that you don't have to like each other to work as a team. Our Congress has to learn that, BTW. You hear people stress "fit." They say, "Well, we're looking for a candidate that fits our corporate template."So if you need a welder you still hire the day-care worker because she's more fun at parties? Admittedly, I'm not your average creative writing "template." I ride ugly bikes with uglier friends. I shoot. I make my opinions known without the filter of politcal correctness. But if the palatte of all the world's creatures are to be fully represented, then I'm still one of them. I admit up front that I'm spending more time in another creating writing forum and a gun forum run by invitation only. Again, my allegiance is to Lily. In the end, she'll send me a PM about my future here. Until then, you get what you see.

Good luck with your writing.

One of the things I stressed was that you don't have to like each other to work as a team. Our Congress has to learn that, BTW. Exactly, you don't have to like each other, but still, WORK AS A TEAM! and just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you can't show them respect. Oh, sorry, all caps makes me sound like a 'little boy typing on his mom's laptop.' I like this forum so far, but it only takes one disrespectful person, no matter who their allegiance is too, to ruin the entire forum for everyone else. If you want to grow as a community, think about who is hindering that the most, not who you have allegiances to. I'm sorry you are leaving bpublisher, I know we didn't really write together or anything, but I think I could have learned a lot from you. Good Luck wherever your writing takes you!

I'm sorry you are leaving bpublisher! Yeah, and he doesn't have to leave. Daniel Quitschau reviewed my ban from Creative Writing Forums and felt that Cogito overstepped his authority. I've been reinstated. I like this forum, and I admire Lily, but I think your admin dropped the ball on bpublisher's credentials and actions. And I do not work here, I'm a member. Not enough was done to protect my interests. If it's easier, Lily can disconnect my account here and bpublisher can stay.

I'm in the middle of two rewrites. I don’t have anything against Chico…I just don’t have time for web wars. This is a good forum. It’s small, I think most of the members take their writing serious. I find it a waste of time when you have to fight off other members every time you post something.
